Public Meeting on Fatigue Effects on Metal Components

AGENCY: Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: A public meeting on the issue of fatigue effects will be held 
at Bethesda Marriott Hotel, 5151 Pooks Hill Road, Bethesda, MD 20814 to 
discuss issues related to fatigue of metal components in nuclear power 
plants. The discussion topics will include: a plan to integrate results 
from NRC and industry efforts addressing fatigue; NRC and industry 
efforts addressing various aspects of the overall fatigue problems; and 
general views concerning fatigue and the fatigue-related issues being 
addressed today. This meeting is also expected to facilitate the 
progress on the resolution of Generic Safety Issue (GSI-190), ``Fatigue 
Evaluation of Metal components for 60-year Plant life.''
