[Federal Register Volume 64, Number 65 (Tuesday, April 6, 1999)] [Notices] [Page 16757] From the Federal Register Online via the Government Publishing Office [www.gpo.gov] [FR Doc No: 99-8392] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DEPARTMENT OF LABOR Employment and Training Administration [TA-W-35,172] National Oilwell, McAlester, OK; Notice of Affirmative Determination Regarding Application for Reconsideration By letter of March 3, 1999 the petitioner requested administrative reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance, applicable to petition number TA-W-35,172. The denial notice was signed on February 3, 1999 and published in the Federal Register on February 25, 1999 (64 FR 9353). The petitioner alleges that the Department did not thoroughly review the issue of imports of like or directly competitive products and provided additional information which warrants reconsideration of the case. Conclusion After careful review of the application, I conclude that the claim is of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department of Labor's prior decision. The application is, therefore, granted. Signed at Washington, D.C. this 18th day of March, 1999. Grant D. Beale, Acting Director, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance.
