ACTION: Notice of open meeting.

SUMMARY: This notice announces a meeting of the Hydrogen Technical 
Advisory Panel (HTAP). Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463, 
86 Stat. 770, as amended), requires that public notice of these 
meetings be announced in the Federal Register.

DATES: Monday, October 29, 2001, 8:30 A.M.-6 P.M.
Tuesday, October 30, 2001, 8:30 A.M.-2:30 P.M.

the status of coordination of hydrogen activities within various 
government offices.

    Public Participation: This meeting is open to the public. Written 
statements may be filed with the Committee either before or after the 
meeting. Individuals who wish to make oral statements pertaining to

or telephone number listed above. Request must be received 5 days prior 
to the meeting and a reasonable provision will be make to include the 
presentations in the agenda. The Designated Federal Officer is 
empowered to conduct the meeting in a fashion that will facilitate the 
orderly conduct of business. Each individual wishing to make public 
comment will be provided a maximum of 5 minutes to present their 
comments. This notice is being published less than 15 days before the 
date of the meeting due to the late resolution of programmatic issues.
    Minutes: The minutes of this meeting will be available for public 
review and copying at the Freedom of Information Public Reading Room,
